Trending Up

Sales volume in Boulder County is up across the board in comparison to one year ago. Prices have not changed much, but the number of sales has increased dramatically. For instance, the number of single family home sales in Boulder is up 60%, with condo sales up 26%. Lafayette and Superior are also experiencing vast improvement over last year, and Louisville's healthy 2009 market remains strong this year.

The robust numbers are due to low interest rates, the extension of the home buyer tax credit and great buying opportunities. Increased buyer confidence is a contributing factor as well.

I am optimistic that 2010 will continue to see improvements over 2009.
