After 7 straight years of appreciation, our market appears to be flattening out. In each of the cities throughout Boulder County, prices are flat on average compared to a year ago. Yet, some pockets of the market are still seeing rising prices. The common thread is this: competitively priced properties that show well can still sell quickly, sometimes with multiple offers.
Fall has a way of creating buying opportunities in the Boulder County real estate market. First, there tends to be a lower number of active buyers, which means less competition. Also, some sellers who came on the market late in the season become more motivated. It's a short window and the properties vary, but it can be a great time for owner occupants and investors to buy, especially this year since interest rates are the lowest we have seen in almost 2 years.
